But I am a Libra and levity is one of my traits. I do the same thing on my tours. When my historian gets a little goofy and off kilter, I comment with a very serious tone about the take away from what we've seen. But then if I see some watery eyes, I'll tell some humorous story or one liner that lightens things. The tour is very heavy on humility, remembrance and stories of sacrifice, of course. But it's also a fun time so I make it so.

In this, I can see possibilities of healing and harmony. I can also see the evils of slavery being brought into the light, where people might visit a site or historical marking that they might otherwise not and pay respects. That's not to divide us but for us to understand better. To know where we've been and where we could go. Let it be so.
