Out of 155 countries in this linked survey, we are in 138th place


In deaths per million.

So, we are “above” a tiny handful of countries in total COVID 19 response, but “by leaps and bounds” would be a stretch.

Unfortunately, turns out having a populist nationalist boob in charge during major crises tends to yield very bad results. A lesson learned more recently by India and Brazil.
