Not about the infallibility of the courts. It is about the jurisdiction of the institution of the judiciary to settle disagreements. The absolute heart of the matter is that in spite of national disagreement with that court’s decision, the entire country abided by it. OJ was not subject to vigilante justice.

The coup attempt wasn’t just on 1/6. Although that was clearly a coup attempt, complete with threats to hang the guy presiding over the ceremonial certification. I think the greater recent revelations are about the steps Trump took with Justice just before and after. But I don’t dispute that Trump is not guilty of anything until and unless he is found to be in court. That it was an attempted coup is my opinion based on calls he made, steps he is widely reported to have wanted to take with Justice, etc. There is no specific crime he is guilty of. But he is clearly guilty of failing to concede the election after all his many days in court were exhausted.

The thing is, all I’m doing is strongly criticizing that, and his general unwillingness to accept the verdict of the courts, and his propensity to spread baseless fiction over the election (which is the basis for all this doubt among his fan base). I’m not recommending changes in multiple states based on a conclusion that is completely baseless and unsupported by findings of any of at least 100 suits brought in court.
