A couple of years ago I saw an analysis done about two years after the cuts

It had the pre tax cut projections for corporate and personal income taxes and also things like payroll and excise taxes that were not affected by the tax cuts. The projections for the unaffected items were damned accurate, leading one to believe that the projections for corporate and personal taxes also would have been accurate. As you show, actual revenues came in well below projected. The shortfall was specifically from personal and corporate income taxes. It is well proven to anybody willing to look that we took in $800 or so billion less than we would have without the tax cuts. I don't know why that's so difficult for some people to accept.
