I find stubborn politicos sometimes don’t apply the reason they use

Naturally in most situations to political debates. I don’t know what Hooda does for a living but I suspect he’d fare better in a budget meeting where his livelihood were at stake.

I think this is entirely emotional. He takes this as a critique of something he supported. It isn’t necessarily. I could understand an argument that given the size of our debt, the opportunity cost of the tax cuts are more than offset by the benefits. But somehow he can’t do that and is instead arguing that the basic economic notion of “opportunity cost” is a lie.

If he stubbornly held to that nonsense professionally, yeah, he’d struggle. Depending on his job, I suspect he doesn’t.
