...shat the bed on COVID, politically speaking, and needs a scapegoat. Blaming "the unvaccinated", Trump and DeathSantis isn't working, so they need a court to step in and take the heat off them. Solution: Simply have one of your agencies issue a ludicrous rule and force the court to strike it down. Problem solved. Actually two problems solved in that they can also use the ruling to go after "right-wing activist courts" (LOL) more generally, especially the Supreme Court.

Ironically, I think the same strategy is being employed by the Rittenhouse prosecutors. They are doing everything they can to get a mistrial declared so they can blame that (and stir up more left-wing violence) instead of the fact that they have absolutely no case and never did.
