So now it's follow the shifting public opinions, not the science? If you're
vaccinated, you're already protected from the greatest dangers. If we further develop therapeutics like the pills recently approved, even better. If we can increase testing and work on preventatives, even better still.
This is not small pox, polio, etc. We're getting very near the point where if someone chooses not to be vaccinated, that has as much impact on you as someone choosing not to put on their seat belt. So yes, it is a "slippery slope" if the only result is to force compliance to line up with "shifting public opinions".
And while I'm pro-legalization, we are literally legalizing weed while trying to defacto make it illegal to not get vaxxed. Does weed usage not increase the demands on our medical systems? Does it not impact others and thus impact the "common good"? I'm just trying to follow the science supporting that logic.
