Well of course reverse systematic racism exists. But nothing
else.
I’m not even a fan of the whole systematic racism term because that implies there’s bad intent and that it’s now focused primarily on race. I think it’s much more tied to socioeconomic status. An individual’s academic and professional achievement along with income and wealth are highly correlated with that of their parents. And you don’t have to go back very far to find actual systematic racism that has resulted in disparate outcomes (in aggregate) when it comes to socioeconomic status of blacks vs whites. So the disadvantages from past discrimination do persist.
I’d much rather see affirmative action focused in socioeconomic status than on skin color.
