And absolutely not economics. i'm guessing he was a literature major

or maybe history. Some field of study that requires a lot of writing, and verbosity is not frowned upon like some other disciplines. Not that there is anything wrong with either of those, but LAH plays the economist, the corporate director and the doctor on message boards - often in the same day (with very entertaining results).
