It ceases to be true.

On the one hand, this is regular way politics. On big down days during the Trump Admin you’d see “Thanks Trump!” posts here regularly. So it’s kind of refreshing in its normalcy.

But it won’t age well. In fact my phone tells me as I type this that the Dow is now at 31,205. Sorry, now 31,194. Still higher than 1/21/21 though!

So, as long as we don’t collapse into Yugoslavia over the next few years, his post almost certainly won’t age well. Although everyone seems to think the markets have further to fall.

Then again, almost nobody ever believes they’ve bottomed when it turns out they actually have. “Darkest before the dawn” definitely applies to market prognosticators. I read one yesterday who thinks we still have 25% and about 6 mths to go before we see things improve. He was drawing comparisons with historical bear markets, and sounded very convincing to me. But his crystal ball is no better than mine or yours or Hooda’s.

Still, my crystal ball says you’ll get your chance to throw this back in Hooda’s face at some point. But who knows when?
