confiscated less than 1% of the guns in America. We can’t even get the illegal guns from felons and you expect law abiding citizens to hand theirs over? What if they don’t, you going to put them in jail? That should go over well when you won’t even put people actually caught with illegal guns in jail now.

And about their murder rate dropping by 60%. Just so happens the murder rate in Richmond dropped 54% in two years just by locking up people caught with illegal guns for 5 years.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t really care if we have guns or not, just don’t expect me to be the first in line to give them up. I personally think there are better ways of dealing with the problem than banning this gun or that.

I would institute a capacity limit, six for handguns and 10 for rifles. I would limit the muzzle velocity of rifle ammo and make all handgun ammo non hollow point. I would have a mandatory buy back or swap of magazines over the new capacity limit and have a long jail sentence for anyone caught with an illegal one. This levels the playing field wrt semi automatic guns and revolvers/bolt action or pump.

That’s what I mean when I say we have to learn to live with them.
