Assertion I recently heard - right on the heels of debating Hazer’s that Israel should flatten their nuke program - is that Israel can’t. It lacks the capability to get at the core facilities essentially located miles below a mountain. Only the US has those capabilities.

Suggesting it would have been futile for Israel to try. Iran is impotent against Israel as long as Centcom coordinates with broad coalition support. Inside and outside the region. Right now, as long as that coalition remains together, Iran’s ability to deliver any warheads is highly questionable.

In the face of that humiliation this weekend, which had an effect on Iran, which reportedly cracked down harshly on any dissent early this week, why would Iran double down on its weakness given its tenuous domestic situation? Given the strength with which Israel emerged this weekend, but combined with alarm over the scope of the attack, why would it be more willing to deal than 10 yrs ago?

I think the answer to your question is no, all parties are less likely to deal.
