Took the words out of my mouth.
I have trouble understanding the mindset that has people thinking that Trump's endless spewing of horseshit doesn't matter enough to disqualify him in their eyes. But whether I get it or not, there it is, so I also have trouble seeing how so many dems think the same ol, same ol will finally derail Trump. I mean, they've been thinking that since the New Hampshire primaries. I've been thinking that since then.
At this point I think we anti-Trumpies need to accept that there is such a level of insecurity in this country that his populism "trumps" all. It makes them feel better. He makes them feel better. And that feeling may well be very hard to overcome with example after example of his lying or not really having the "people's" interests at heart. Because he's not appealing to these people on a rational level. It is on a highly emotional level.
Hey, could be worse. Could be Filipino. I can't figure out how people voted for Trump? Imagine trying to figure out how a murderer, and one who literally calls for mass murder, gets elected and maintains these apparently strong approval ratings.
Strange times.
