I'm a millennial.

1) That means I have several friends who cant work more than 29 hrs a week at a given job. They work service jobs, but cant work longer hours because their employers would be forced to pay for health insurance.

2) My wife an I are not covered under Obamacare. We are ~ 26 and do not have health insurance. Virginia did not expand medicaid.

3) Obamacare premiums have gone up a ton over the past few years. Two years ago I was looking at a plan but didn't quite need one because I was under 26 and covered under my parents plan. It was 200 a month. Now they are 350 a month. It was affordable in 2014 but its not in 2017.

4) The "Pre-existing" conditions thing, means that I, a healthy young person at the beginning of my career. In able to get health insurance I have to pay for "old" people with COPD and Diabetes because they wanted to smoke and eat too many snacky cakes. I know that before you used to have to pay more for these types of conditions. I shouldn't be forced to pay.

5) Since I dont have health insurance, I'm forced to pay 500 a year to the govt or so. My other option is to pay like... 3000 a year? I get sick like once or twice a year so I just pay out of pocket. 300 bucks. no problem. Even if I break my leg its better for me to pay out of pocket. If "Preexisting conditions" is too expensive for young people at the beginning of their careers like me to pay, who is going to pay for your medicaid?

6) This obamacare thing, like the whole student loans thing, allows big companies to charge way more than they could if it was an open market. If everyone had to pay out of pocket for their surgery, you think it would be so expensive? Of course not. Supply and demand doesnt apply to health because insurance/lobby/hospitals control it all. All Obamacare has done is allow those companies to increase their profits. Sure people are "covered" but how long before the whole thing implodes?
