I have no doubt that you heard that, but it's wrong

The Pew poll he's referring to is often cited in conservative writing to write polemics against Muslims, but a closer look at the wording might make you understand why you see the variation in response.

"Can Suicide Bombing of Civilian Targets
to Defend Islam be Justified?" The options available to the respondents were: often, sometimes, rarely, and never.

70% responded "never justified."

3% said "often justified"

Honestly, if you ask me, I'd respond that it CAN be justified. Your justification might be all fucked up or stupid, as are most of the Hokies' justifications for their dumbassery on this board, but they're still justifications. If you allow for ambiguity then the question becomes useless.

The question to ask is whether YOU PERSONALLY agree with them.
