other than the most extreme environmentalists, would fall into a similar mold. Like I said, that's a valid position to take. But in the end, the result is the same. You argue we should get off of fossil fuels, and in part because we should be energy independent from the ME (and the wars and mess that comes with that dependence). Yet are fighting against drilling in ANWR which hinders our ability to achieve that independence you argue for.

I would argue we shouldn't be so willing to shift so much of that dependence to China for the resources/rare earths needed for "green energy" at the levels you guys wish for. As that may not one day align so well with our "National Security Goal".
