Unless we have so much revenue we are just wasting it by paying down the
national debt and can't even find a place to invest it, or unless we are going to actually simplify the code in a manner that leads to more realization of income or repatriation of profits that will raise revenue (not really a "tax cut" but tax reform) perhaps we shouldn't. Supply side economic theory is a joke and the notion that giving "job creators" who are sitting on piles of cash already more of "their money" is going to trickle down and create jobs is laughable. So maybe we just shouldn't do it at all.
It's completely absurd that this is what the GOP focuses on, especially given our current deficits and the amount of unfunded liability moving forward.
Maybe what we should do is "grandfather out" the Baby Boomer generation from Social Security and Medicare. Fuck 'em. They voted for this crap for decades and have leeched lavish lifestyles off of the young for long enough. Let's start the coming entitlement reform with them!
Kidding of course, but wonder how old people would vote if that were the idea on the table. [Post edited by WahooRQ at 12/13/2017 3:06PM]
