The number doesn't matter


Even if it's 40/40/20, or whatever, balancing the ideology prevents extremism and forces candidates to work every election.

I recognize, as well, that in some parts of the country populations simply don't balance that way, but in any given case District boundaries should attempt to reflect the sentiment of the population at large , not somebody's preconceived notions of favored minorities or proper political party distribution or any of that other nonsense
