To me, there is more than wild speculation. And I think a lot of Trumpies
would agree with me if you took these same facts but reversed the roles of Hill and Trump. The whole thing really began with Wikileaks - where speculation began that it was Russia's doing (and I believe there is a consensus about it now in our intel community), and Trump on the campaign trail spurred them on. Nobody told him to do that. Of course that feeds the speculation that he's in bed with them. And if Hill did something like that, Trumpies would already be convicting her of Treason.
A Trump staffer has been indicted for lying about his involvement with Russia during the campaign. Manafort was the campaign chairman and has very close ties with the certain Russians with shady backgrounds. These are all real bits of circumstantial evidence. And nobody made Trump fire Comey. Some say even Bannon called that the greatest political blunder in American history. That's why there's a special investigation. And that's why there is talk of obstruction by Trump. It's not just idle speculation.
IMO, collusion is a murky concept, and what you'd really need is some sort of evidence of conspiracy, that would have to go way beyond the circumstances I describe above. But WADR, I think it is just mirroring Trump's victim complex to call the focus on Russia, and suspicions that his campaign "colluded" in some way, "wild-assed speculation". It is far more than that, and much of it is a self inflicted wound.
And none of it is a "lie". It's an investigation.
