Somewhat laughable and non sense. How do opinion polls support your

response; "They clearly never intended to re-unite the children with their parents." The polls are being conducted with information that is only partially correct and with some very pertinent facts being denied to the general public. And no, it isn't where the children are. What is missing is common sense. If you and your spouse have young children in your home and both of you are arrested for a crime (say drug dealing), what is done with the children? They are either handed over to a trusted relative (such as grandparents if they are near) OR, they are taken to child protective services for safe keeping. If you and your spouse are refused bail, the children may be placed in temporary foster care. Even if you are released, a court may decide that is better for the children to be kept by more responsible adults. This happens every fucking day in this country, and to American citizens.

Now, to the situation at hand. The children in question are in the care of suspected CRIMINALS (illegal entry into the U.S.). The adults are under arrest (the term being used is "detained") and the children have been placed in protective custody because there are no immediate persons of responsibility at hand to assume care of these children who are NOT also under arrest. Because an ignorant government agent responded to a question about "where are the children now" with a rather stupid, on the spot answer (I do not know), does NOT mean the overall actions of immigration authorities are inhumane or suspect. It just means that the children were not thrown into jail with their parents or guardians. Back to the top example, we do not throw children into jail with their parents.

The question that SHOULD be included on the opinion polls that you are so generously attached to your post is: "Do you think children should go to jail with their parents?" If more than 1% of the respondents say YES, then we are living in Nazi Germany or WW2 America where Japanese-American children are detained with their parents. Please note that the Japanese-American parents were not accused of any documented violation of law. The Mexican illegals are accused of violating a Federal law.

This issue is such a perfect example of the press and political entities using partial information to stir up public opinion for either attention and advertising dollars or to make a political opponent look very bad. In this case, Trump and the Fed. I have no reason to support Donald Trump at all, I do not like him, did not vote for him and will rejoice when he leaves office but this parent-child separation issue is not really an issue at all. So now, we will toss the children into custody which means we will have to spend a lot more tax money taking care of them and their parents who have earned nothing except immediate deportation (with their children). By the way, that would be the just resolution to this situation BUT, we would be denying the parents "due process" which would open another can of worms. What a scam.

The Mexicans learn quickly and they have us by our respective balls. They have you so snowed as to have you making ridiculous statements that indicate our government is somehow doing something malicious (perhaps inhumane) to the children. Get a grip.
