be FLOORED if outcomes weren't much better here than other "first world" countries with universal coverage. Have you actually needed healthcare outside the US? How was your experience? I have a wife that has an unfortunate knack for getting sick on vacation. We've been to hospitals or seen medical providers in Spain, Italy, France, Mauritius, Maldives, Singapore and Thailand. The only place I'd actually rate as comparable level of care to the US out of all of those would be Singapore (though the dentist in Thailand wasn't terrible and was crazy cheap ... apparently dental tourism from Australia is a thing in Thailand). The healthcare in Europe (yes, Southern Europe except France) was appallingly bad.
