Interesting in that I would generally consider myself

more conservative than you just based on our exchanges on this board, but I'm actually in favor of single payer (as long as it's allowed to co-exist with private insurers and providers), and while I don't know that I'm in favor of "rewarding" illegals with citizenship, I am in favor of a much more realistic LEGAL path to US citizenship. I think we can absorb far more immigrants than we do, but it needs to be through a controlled process. So on two of the 3 issues you mention, I actually appear to be to the left of you.

And I don't know that the right has become "so far right" as much as it's become batshit crazy.

The left wing of the the democratic party (Warren, Sanders) is definitely out there. I just hope Biden can hold it together for 4 years (and in particular the next 11 months)
