The populist progressive left is not about "representative" over "dictatorial". That's why the Bern has his army, maybe reluctantly. Bern doesn't pine over goose stepping military parades like Trump does, but he does say, about Bloomberg, that he shouldn't be allowed to spend his own money on his election.

Bern can't tell Mike what to do with his own money. Neither can the govt, and you'll have to amend the constitution to change that. This isn't even about the Citizens United case. Nobody in the race, including Bern, is less likely to be influenced by money than Bloomberg, who doesn't need anyone else's.

There's a reason so many Bern primary supporters voted for Trump over Hill. According to a David Brooks editorial on Friday, in numbers well above Trump's margin of victory in PA, MI, and WI in Nov '16. These extremes on the political spectrum, left or right, always move us towards dictatorial and away from representative. Bern may be more like Trotsky than Stalin, but once you move down that path, you always wind up with Stalin.
