Maybe, although I'll say it's not just self-righteous, condescending women.


I remember watching one of the Gore vs. Bush debates and thinking that someone from the Bush corner needs to throw in the towel. Bush was getting his clock cleaned by Gore and he looked like a total dope. The next day I was shocked to learn that polls actually showed people had a more favorable view of Bush's performance than Gore's because Gore kept sighing and interrupting. I was thinking... WTF, Bush looked like a total dumbass and people chose the dumbass over the guy who knows what he's talking about because the dumbass is more likable and the know-it-all reminded them of people they hated when they were kids???

If misogyny plays a role, I think it takes a back seat to "self-righteous" and "condescending" from either sex. I think Al Gore's loss shows that.
