could vote that if you don't vote you abdicate your right to complain. Even if you wind up complaining about the guy you voted for. Even if you had 5 choices, you'd still probably be choosing among lesser evils, if you think about the kinds of people who want that job. So, not attacking you personally, but I think lack of voter participation both takes for granted what we have in this country, which is amazing from a historical perspective, and contributes to our current problem. In fact I'm guessing that if there had been less apathy in '16 (or insistence on a mythical perfect choice that will never exist), we'd have no Trump admin to worry about. Populists like Trump, and the Bern IMO, count on apathy outside their devoted base.

In fact depending on the state, I think a third party vote can be the best way to go - in deep blue or deep red states where the electoral result is determined. This year, I feel disinclined to do that, but I am sitting back and letting the roller coaster ride unfold before me, and I'll see where it lands.
