Thank you for the response, but I have to admit that I really don't get it.
Not a single one of the things you listed has a snowball's chance in hell of actually happening in the next 4 years.
So if your choice is between two brain dead extreme options that can't get anything passed by Congress, you'd prefer the one who has proven to have authoritarian tendencies and is destroying institutions on a daily basis?
In the 2016 election, I could understand people who disliked both candidates but thought the known of Clinton was worse than the unknown of Trump (and hoping he'd become more "presidential," etc.), no matter how much I disagreed with that. But I *really* am struggling to understand how someone who does see Trump as terrible still thinks he would be better than someone whose downside is policies he won't even be able to enact. (And obviously I know you are far from the only one who feels that way, which is why I'm honestly trying to understand your line of thinking.)
