Imagine where we'd be if those who have been in washington for years, actually had a plan to implement for whomever was President.

I know we can fault Trump for all his faults, that's easy, he's an easy target, but at what point do we say to those who've been in Washington for years, WTF have you been doing since 9/11, when it became apparent that something like this could be used against us? After SARS, and Swine, and MERS, etc. We have a CDC, we have a Dept of Homeland Security (which is well funded) this is as much of a homeland security issue as it is a CDC issue...so WTF? All these lifetime pols in the Senate and Congress, and the department heads who sit in their lofty chairs (and are happy to throw stones now), who really should have known better, IMO are more at fault than the doofis, with no political experience, who just happened to luck out and find himself in the WH, and who is a poor leader. Spend way too much time playing politics and not enough time actually working on delivering what the American public need. Did we have a contract in place to mass produce stuff, did we have a distribution methodology to ensure the stuff was sent to the right place at the right time, did we have a materials tracking system in place to ensure stuff was being used and not stolen, did we have locations identified in every city/county were drive through testing would take place, did we have a means to redeploy equipment (without losing it), the list goes on. What exactly was our plan in the even of a bio-terrorist attack?

We will learn from this, but it needs to be the government institutions that learn and implement a plan that will be there for future Presidents. That plan needs to be maintained and updated annually, and filtered down to the state and county/city levels.
