years ago, sure I would probably agree with you. The problem is when these stories are first reported it’s always from the “victims” pov. Michael Brown was an outright fabrication, the guy in Charlotte who was just sitting in his car reading the Bible, another lie. The guy in Louisiana, reaching for his gun, another lie by the family and their surrogates. The first report is what shapes opinion and makes people think it happens “a lot”.
Look I’m not saying cops don’t cover each other and teach other cops what to say but to attribute it to racism doesn’t make sense. If racism was the cause you wouldn’t have white guys getting shot and abused and we know that’s not the case.
I’m all for better training, mental evaluations, transparency, what ever it takes to improve everyone’s way of life and reducing the number of these incidents. We just have to be realistic about the cause.
