They haven't had a silent majority in decades. The only popular

vote they've won for President since the 1980's is the Bush/Kerry 2004 race early on in two wars with the people writing today's Lincoln Project ads all working for Bush.

To be sure, they've done fairly well winning with very loud minorities, but they also govern for and appoint judges for that loud minority almost exclusively, making that loud minority smaller and smaller.
