Pre-internet of course. I was graduated and living on the west coast and

just saw the score announced while watching another game. Never saw any highlights. My old roommate who happened to be from Atlanta was at the game with some of his UGA buddies. He said it was the most fun he ever had at a UVA game; 31-0 between the hedges. He sent me all the AJC clippings.

It's weird though in these days of instant and ubiquitous coverage to consider how mysterious east and west coast sporting events if you lived on the opposite coast. UVA's impossible loss to Chaminade comes to mind.
