Plans do need to be local, I agree, but I think they need to fit within
within a national framework. The ease of travel across our country, from one locality to another makes this a national problem as well as a local problem. Those of us who live in a college town looking at the sudden return of 22,000 people to the community understand this.
I think there should be some standards set nationally, probably around maximum transmission rate,Maybe even local hospitalization capacity utilization.
I think we all probably should get used to the idea they were going to have a lost 12 to 18 months at best. An interruption in life as we have known it. We can also think of it as an investment in the future.
