I have mixed feelings on this one. Jackson is nearly synonymous with VMI as a one time instructor there. His reputation remains even today as one of the greatest military commanders this country has produced and that will likely not change on account of the recent cultural changes.

I completely understand the notion of statues glorifying the lost cause. I think the case can be made that many of them do. However, at some point we should be able to remember some of these men for the full life of accomplishments they had, as opposed to just 4 years of it.
