Why should we care? We can only control what this country does to fight

climate change. We should be doing what we can as a nation and the Paris Accord commits us to a positive course of action. It has symbolic value and demonstrates leadership too. Our withdrawal under Trump did nothing to change China’s actions. Trump stamping his feet over perceived inequities in the criteria for different nations was worthless theater, which is pretty much all he’s capable of.
