The Great Recession fallout has a lot to do with this, IMO...

That was in some ways the spark that lit the fire. Seeing Wall Street get bailed out like that was absolutely criminal, and both parties were neck deep in it. Hard for anyone to claim today that bailouts/socialism are somehow not okay when we saw the very richest and most irresponsible among us get bailed out to the tune of trillions.

P.S.: I hope the jpm in your handle doesn't stand for J.P. Morgan!
