From China’s (unpersuasive) viewpoint, we’ve been burning fossil fuels at

an industrial level for a century. They have not.
Trying to get them off that position is not helped by calling climate change a “Chinese hoax.”
It’s also not helpful to abandon our allies in the Paris Accord.
