I said you weren't obligated, and...

...I know why you are avoiding them.

Long story short:
1) The science says the masks provide limited protection in limited situations.
2) There are biological, psychological and societal costs to wearing masks and mask mandates. People should be free to make decisions about their own health that factor in these costs against any benefit that might come from wearing masks and choose accordingly.
3) Healthy people don't spread COVID and have no need to wear masks, period.
4) People who are afraid of catching a virus that has a 99.9%+ survival rate can and should stay home rather than impose stupid conditions on everyone else.
5) There is no evidence whatsoever that shows areas with government-imposed mask mandates have had better experience with COVID than areas that don't.
6) Your logic on this topic is consistent with mask mandates being imposed for the rest of time, and it won't surprise me if that is exactly what happens.
