Nefarious ulterior motives? They want to exercise mind control over the masses to make them wear masks, for the...sheer joy...of seeing people in masks?

This summer camp thing seems to me to run counter to, well, common sense, but also to the evolving direction of the rest of their recommendations. So, I’d start by asking the CDC to explain those apparent inconsistencies.

I would not start by assuming a dark conspiracy. That’s always been where you’ve lost me. I’ve never agreed that masks serve much purpose outside. But I’ve noticed that many people at least up here in NY seem uncomfortable with that, so what the hell, I put a mask on my wrist and I put it on when I’m near people. Big whoop. It doesn’t register on the personal sacrifice meter. It is literally no skin off my nose (but my nose itches sometimes).

I call it common courtesy, and you seem to kneejerk to “you’re a sheeple!!!”. I just don’t get it. Occams’ razor - frequently dumbassery is just plain ol’ dumbassery. Especially with sprawling bureaucracies - public or private.
