"When deputies finally restored order and escorted the demonstrators out of the building, one protester appeared to threaten a law enforcement official, warning, “Don’t put your hands on me. It will be a bad day!”

Another yelled, “F _ _ _ing sheriffs. Y’all don’t belong here!”

Another said, “We’ll be right the F_ _ _ outside. Don’t worry.”

A Burlington resident who attended the meeting told conservative talk show host Vicki McKenna that board members, police, school staff and community members were threatened with violence and intimidation by “outside agitators along with folks who live in this community.”

“I personally was called … (the N-word), ‘racist piece of sh_ _,’ ‘fu_ _ you and your blue lives,’ just to name a few,” said the resident, who is white. “(I was) Spit on, one individual tried to trip me as I was having a civil dialogue about the 1st Amendment.”

There reportedly were no arrests.
