I appreciate that you're saying this tongue-in-cheek, but...

...we're actually fortunate to have a control group, especially one that self-selects, which removes the moral dilemma involved with a typical control group. Of course, it remains to be seen which group -- the vaxxed or the unvaxxed -- is the true control group, LOL.

Failing to maintain a control group was one of the major flaws of the vaccine trials conducted last year, and that obviously ended up creating bad data regarding the treatment's efficacy. We now have the possibility of getting much better data given the hundreds of millions who got the shots over the course of a year and the hundreds of millions who did not. Hopefully, we can get some good actual data out of this situation to help guide more informed decision-making.
