a good job explaining why and how it took WA years to really get a system in place that voters could trust, and how it's unrealistic to think states like GA could just ramp up such a thing in months. If you think GA's (and others) signature matching system was anywhere close to what WA had and has developed through years of elections, I think you're kidding yourself.

I'm not averse to such a system, or even questioning those states that have voted by mail for many years (that's up to their voters to decide, question and worry about), if they've taken this type of time and made these types of efforts to ensure election integrity.

But in the meantime, or even over the long run, I see no issues with incorporating the photo ID as part of the process. It's easier, faster, and more reliable. And additionally alleviates concerns anyone might have wrt the stringency, or lack thereof, of signature matching. Do you really want to trust the SoS in GA, TX, FL, etc. not to make the signature match requirements too stringent?
