I'm torn. I'd like to see a filibuster just to make the Republicans use the

nuclear option. The filibuster as currently practiced is procedural obstruction of the worst kind. It needs to go. The tradeoff the Democrats must consider is that they might not be able to stop other legislation once the nuclear option is used. If it is used.

One thing that is clear is that they won't face any electoral penalty for being obstructionist. Indeed, many Democratic voters might hold it against them if they don't try.
