"Sit and politely listen" sounds awfully close to "take the high road"

And in 2017 America, the high road is for chumps and losers.

Donald Trump and his dumbshit army took the lowest road possible and won complete control of the levers of power. The low road was enthusiastically endorsed by 63 million people, and Mike Pence happily drifted along with them, right into the VP's office. I'm not going to feel bad when people are assholes to someone who sold his soul to latch on to the biggest, most unrepentant asshole of them all.
