That Ocare is largely a republican idea, since The Mass approach under Romney was arguably the most significant model for Ocare. I don't recall repubs seeing it that way at the time.

The idea is to have the entire country represented in the negotiation involving something so fundamental to all our quality of lives, which improves chances of buy in.

The country is split down the middle about any way you view it, but each side seems to think it gets to impose itself on the other. "Consensus" is not achieved by having one side impose its will, then having the other bitch and moan about it for 6 years or so, and then doing the same thing first chance they get.

Odds of anything getting done are already razor thin thanks to His Orangeness's incompetence. I think the repubs' approach are making the odds that much thinner.
