Democrats excluded themselves from the start. Any number said that as long


as repeal was part of the reform, they were against it and would refuse to come to the table constructively.

I'm in no way supporting a closed approach to push through reform. You're reading into my post what isn't there. I was simply shocked that now democrats care to see all the details hashed out in public, and using a republican warning over scope of the PPACA during its passage to boot. Furthermore, this is not close to making it to the President's desk.

The bigger question of transparency comes when the bill is refined and approaching final draft. Will it then be debated, or dumped on Congressmens' desks for an imminent vote (as Reid did on Xmas eve)?

It would be fantastic if democrats decided to participate. The best reform happens in bipartisan fashion, and it tends to last far longer as well.
