(5) Republicans should be more open, but this isn't the most critical

moment. Even if something comes out of the Senate, it's not close to a final product. "This is a violation of the legislative process that the rule of law and democracy depends upon," is hyperbole. Right now they're just working on their plan. If they abuse reconciliation, or push a final vote through in a couple days on XMas eve, then I'd agree with that characterization.

Furthermore, it's odd to complain about repubs going it alone after declaring all out "resistance" with no constructive dialogue / cooperation as long as "repeal" is part of the equation.

So yes, not the best way, but not yet worth condemnation, and I would be more critical if the democrats were making an honest effort to cooperate. Refusing to do so means establishment republicans have to work with the tea party wing in the House.

And as stated below, I doubt anything makes it to Trump for signature.
