Offshore drilling seems like a terrible idea in this environment

Why start something new and risky when prices are already so low due to fracking? Fracking should keep new offshore drilling off the table. It doesn't seem to make any sense. As the governor mentioned, the risk to tourism far outweighs any potential benefit. See what happened to the Gulf's tourism (and food industries) in the wake of the Deepwater Horizon incident. It makes no sense to jeopardize that, especially when the colder waters up here make the risk even greater than in the Gulf. With nearby fracking on the pace it is, there's absolutely no need for offshore drilling in our region.
