He flirted w/ Alt Right, but he was more "Alt-Light" if you've seen that term, knows the Nazis are clowns and he is involved in winking at them. This was the problem imo w/ understanding Bannon as a white supremacist, he's a nefarious fucker but really more of a manipulator than an out and out racist like Spencer or Kessler (who are manipulators in addition to white supremacists.) There's a lot of shit going on here I've been following since the campaign.

He's more straight up Nationalist, USA, trade war, China is going to rule us economically, while willing to assuage anyone however awful is on board with that, boarder security, etc.

One potential minor positive from last weekend is I think the Alt-Right, and anything that would even flirt with those folks, jumped the rails and were exposed. There is some political legitimacy to Bannon's ideas, but that legitimacy is under the hot white lights after what happened. You can't sit around and not call that Nazi shit out, Trump, even Bannon knew that.
