I been wondering what would we do if NK did a light push on provocation.

US will be forced to retaliate militarily if NK did something as stupid as bombing Guam. But what if they did something on the scale of lob a few shells near a US ship, forced down a surveillance plane, etc. that caused some US casualty but not a clear direct attack on US. I don't think that would be enough of an attack to justify a military response and risk hundred of thousands of SK's lives. But if no response, we will be looking weak, especially with our president who can't take any sort of slight. So not sure what would happen if NK pull something like that.
