If you choose to associate with White Supremacists, you take your chances with how you'll be perceived. And he practically created the notion of an "alt right", as the brains behind Breitbart (and his brains are formidable). The alt right isn't only racists, but right now if you are a politically active white racist group, you're alt right. And at least tacitly, Bannon invited them in, and with Breitbart arguably tried to give them a voice.

I agree largely with this characterization of the man, but I hardly think he's a victim of those associating him with racism. I doubt he even sees himself as a victim.

I still think he may not be out. On Monday, after Trump's scripted remarks, I thought he was done. After Tuesday, I figured he still has Trump's ear.
