"Alt Right" was being used, and how it developed to where it's at now. Early it was confused in the media and public consciousness, Milo Yianopolis/Anne Coulter's libertarianism-in-poor-taste was under a little shade of it, while Spencer and Vanilla ISIS were holding the umbrella. I followed it pretty early because it spooked me, you had to just know it was important.

One lesson from following that, and last weekend, is we could do better understanding the difference between "nazis" and Nazis, now that we've seen it in its full manifestation.

All affirmative action, statue, etc arguments should continue in full with heat and often going past the line into irrationality, but the Nazi term should be saved for actual armed murderous invasions by white supremacists, like Charlottesville. That shouldn't be a right or left thing imo. The left should stand up for free speech, and Trump, well, Trump you done fucked it irrevocably buddy with the "Alt Left" "both sides" no-Nazi call.
